1-Acre Custom Pond & Two 1-Acre Building Pads | Beaumont, TX

Project type

Custom Pond & Two 1-Acre Building Pads

Location

Beaumont, TX

Asher Construction transformed this undeveloped Beaumont-area property through a large-scale residential earthwork project centered around a custom one-acre pond.

The pond was excavated to approximately 14 feet deep and designed with natural shoreline geometry, multiple depth shelves to create varied aquatic habitat, and a shallow peninsula intended for a future dock.

Instead of treating the excavated soil as waste, nearly all material was strategically reused onsite. Approximately one acre of house pad was constructed roughly 3.5 feet above existing grade, while a second one-acre shop pad was raised approximately three feet. Driveway foundations were also established to connect the existing access route with both building sites.

The predominantly Southeast Texas clay exhibited significant swell after excavation, requiring deliberate placement and extensive compaction to achieve the desired finished pad conditions.

Careful site planning also positioned the future homesite with an unobstructed view across the pond toward the western sunset.

This project is a strong example of pond excavation, mass earthwork, cut-and-fill balancing, house pad construction, shop pad construction, clay compaction, driveway preparation, grading, and complete residential site development.
